Armando's recent directing credits include Hippie Mexicanaby Evangeline Ordaz at Borderlands Theater; A Visitor's Guide to Arivaca by Evangeline Ordaz at Teatro Vision, Living Out by Lisa Loomer at TheatreWorks; Conjunto by Oliver Mayer at Borderlands Theater; Anna In The Tropics by Nilo Cruz at PCPA Theaterfest. Armando is a recipient of the NEA/TCG Career Development Program for Directors. He co-founded Latins Anonymous, the critically acclaimed Latino Comedy Group. Other directing credits include Magic Tricks, Esther and the Exodus, Freak: Saint Plays for Cornerstone Theater Company, and Confessions of a Cha Cha Feminist at Highways performance space. Also co-founded The Platform, a political cabaret that explored post-riot Los Angeles as a community in crisis.

Armando is the Artistic Director of Company of Angels.
